Description
Appearance and Development
Magnolia grandiflora is an evergreen tree with an upright habit, reaching up to 10-15 m in height at full maturity. The leaves are glossy, dark green, elliptical, up to 20 cm long. The flowers are large, white or creamy, with a diameter of up to 25 cm, appearing in summer. We offer well-developed plants, grown in containers and suitable for year-round planting.
Suitable Place
This magnolia is suitable for solitary and group plantings in parks and gardens, where it can be used as a focal point.
Growing Conditions
It prefers sunny to partially shaded locations and well-drained, humus-rich soil. Drought resistance is moderate, so regular watering is important, especially during summer months.
Planting and Care
When planting, it is important to provide enough space for the root system to develop. Regular watering is recommended during the establishment period, especially in dry spells. For larger trees, support may be necessary after planting.
Important Size Information
The stated 6-8 cm refers to the trunk girth measured at 1 m height from the base. This measurement pertains to the plant at the time of offering, not to its size at full maturity.
